March 2012
Local
‘business booth’ at Treacle
At Treacle, we are really keen to ensure that the market is
beneficial not just to the stallholders, but to local independent businesses
that don’t fit into the food and drink or arts and crafts type. From March, and each month thereafter, we are
giving one local independent business the opportunity to promote themselves to
Treacle visitors. Think of it as a big three dimensional business card at the
market! We are calling it the Treacle Business
Booth.
We feel passionately that Macclesfield is a town with real
character and a wealth of quality independent businesses and we need to make
sure our visitors know that. We care about the future of our town centre and
hate the idea of it becoming a soulless, anonymous high street of chain stores
only.
If your local independent business is interested in
occupying the Business Booth at one of the Treacle Markets, please contact jane@treaclemarket.co.uk.
February 2012

Treacle is
pleased to announce that we are now supported by the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
We are delighted that they are getting behind the Market in this way and allow
us to have stalls in their Mill Street entrance also. Thank you! And remember
the Grosvenor Centre multi storey is now open on Treacle Sundays
26th October 2011The Grosvenor Centre multi storey car park will be open on Treacle Sunday. Now you don't even have to walk very far after filling your bags full of delicious things...
25th October 2011Treacle Market is delighted to have the generous support of
Peaks and Plains Housing Trust. Not only have they helped us buy smart white
gazebos and tables, but they have provided the new Peaks and Plains Community Stall. This will be used for the first time at the 30th October Treacle Market by
DIB . It will be used at each market by a different Charity or Community Group
to promote themselves and fund raise.
Treacle Market is extremely grateful to Peaks and Plains for supporting the
community side of Treacle in such a practical and positive way.
7th October 2011
Treacle is growing again! Octobers Treacle will now include 35 food and drink stalls on Mill Street and Castle Street. More arts, crafts and antique stalls will take up the space vacated in Chestergate. There will still be some food stalls on Chestergate and Market Place, so don't forget to look for your favourites. |
